Join us on May 13 for our final concert of the 2016-2017 season, featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem. Composed in the tumultuous 1930s, this heartrending plea for peace is paired with Gabriel Fauré’s haunting and lovely Requiem.
Join the FCC on a journey through time and across the globe. Our midwinter concert focuses on the beauty of the human voice with minimal instrumentation, featuring a centerpiece work by Italian composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Romancero Gitano, based on a series of poems by Federico García Lorca.Details and tickets
This is the second time I’ve heard FCC perform Carmina Burana, and last evening certainly lived up to my memory of how well it was performed the last time. It is such a difficult piece rhythmically that I am impressed with the ease with which FCC went through it. In my opinion, there is nothing better than a wonderful night of great music to start the holiday season, so thank you so much!
