Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to the Fairfield County Chorale (“FCC”, “our”, “us”, or “we”). As a user of this website (the “Site”), you are valued by FCC, and we will take appropriate measures to protect the personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) provided by and collected from you on the Site in connection with the functions, facilities, products and services offered on the Site.

Information Collected
We do not collect Personal Information (such as names, addresses, zip codes, email addresses, etc.) at the Site from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily. Information that we collect falls into three primary categories:

  1. Information that Site Visitors Give Us  We may receive and store the information that you enter at the Site or give to us in any other way. You can always choose not to provide some or all of the information we request. This information is used solely by FCC and other entities in furtherance of FCC’s artistic and charitable activities.
  2. Automatic Information  Whenever you interact with FCC on the Site, we receive and store certain types of information. For example, we may use “cookies” when your web browser accesses the Site to obtain information on your use of the Site. A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier, which we transfer to your computer via your web browser and store on your computer’s hard drive. Please refer to the help section of your web browser for information on how to be notified that you are receiving a new cookie, and how to turn cookies off.
  3. Email Communications  In order to make the emails we send you more helpful and relevant to your interests, we receive and store certain types of information. For instance, if your computer supports this functionality, we may receive a confirmation when you open an email we send you. We may also receive a confirmation when you follow a hyperlink from one of our email messages to our website. If you want to stop receiving email from us, simply follow the SafeUnsubscribeTM link at the end of any email or contact us by email at media@fairfieldcountychorale.org. When we send you emails, we may include a Web Beacon to allow us to determine the number of people who open our emails. When you click on a link in an email, we may record this individual response to allow us to customize our offerings to you. Web beacons collect only limited information, such as a cookie identifier, time and date of a page being viewed, and a description of the page on which the Web Beacon resides (the URL). Web Beacons can be refused when delivered via email. If you do not wish to receive Web Beacons via email, you will need to disable HTML images or refuse HTML (select Text only) emails via your email software.

Information Sharing
We are not in the business of selling information about our Site visitors. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you, and we treat it with great care and respect. We will share Personal Information with third parties only when (i) the person submitting the information authorizes us to share it; (ii) sharing the information is a necessary operation of the Site, for instance, to process a credit card transaction, or (iii) we are required to by law.

Access to Your Information
If you desire to review your own Personal Information, to correct existing information, or to remove your information, please contact FCC via email at info@fairfieldcountychorale.org. If you request removal of your Personal Information, you acknowledge that residual information may continue to reside in FCC’s records and archives, but FCC will not use that information for commercial purposes. FCC reserves the right to maintain your Personal Information if FCC has suspended, limited or terminated your access to the Site for violating FCC’s Terms of Use.

Your Choices
You can always choose not to provide information. However, doing so may prevent you from making a donation or accessing other valuable features and information at the Site.

You may be able to access third party websites through links available on the Site. You understand and agree that your use of such third party sites will be governed by the privacy policies of those sites and not by this Privacy Policy. FCC will not be responsible for the actions of the operators of such third party websites.

Children
FCC does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide information on the Site without their permission.

Tell A Friend
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about the Site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the Site. We do not store this information for any other purpose.
