Our recent “September Sing” on September 7 in Southport was a great success—a number of current and newly-auditioned chorale members joined singers from the community for a rousing sing-through of Mozart’s Requiem. As well, we are officially in rehearsal for our 2014–2015 season! The programming for our upcoming concerts is fun and challenging, and we’ve already begun rehearsing not only Handel’s Messiah, which the FCC will perform this December, but parts of the Requiem as well.

More infoThis is the second time I’ve heard FCC perform Carmina Burana, and last evening certainly lived up to my memory of how well it was performed the last time. It is such a difficult piece rhythmically that I am impressed with the ease with which FCC went through it. In my opinion, there is nothing better than a wonderful night of great music to start the holiday season, so thank you so much!
