Norwalk, CT –The Fairfield County Chorale is thrilled to announce a captivating evening of choral music featuring Johannes Brahms’s monumental Requiem, A German Requiem, and Florence Price’s evocative composition Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight. The concert will take place at the renowned Norwalk Concert Hall on June 2, 2024, promising a memorable experience for all attendees.

The Fairfield County Chorale, which celebrates its 61st season this year, will perform under the baton of the esteemed conductor, Maestro David Rosenmeyer. With a rich history of delivering outstanding interpretations of choral masterpieces, the Chorale is poised to captivate and excite audiences in its final concert of the season.

Johannes Brahms’s German Requiem, one of the most profound works in the choral repertoire, will be the centerpiece of the concert. Brahms’s German Requiem, often referred to as the “Human Requiem,” explores themes of comfort, solace, and hope for the living, making it a deeply personal and introspective work. The Fairfield County Chorale, accompanied by a stellar orchestra, will bring forth the emotional intensity and spiritual depth of this extraordinary composition.

In addition to Brahms’s German Requiem, the Fairfield County Chorale will showcase the remarkable work of American composer Florence Price. Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight is a poignant tribute to one of America’s greatest leaders.
